Churchill Downs Fall Meet

Are there any major races in their fall meet? Trying to plan a trip there in November. Anyone have any advise when to go?

There's the Clark on November 28, which usually gets some good horses who skipped the Breeders' Cup, and there's a slight chance that that's where Curlin ends up. The next day, they run a pair of G2's for two-year-olds as well, and the previous day is the G2 Falls City for the girls at 1 1/8 miles on dirt.

If you want to go earlier in the meet, there's the weekend of 11/1-11/2, which has two G3's for two-year-olds and the G2 Chilukki for fillies and mares at a mile on dirt..

Here's the schedule for the rest of the meet:

I'll be at Churchill again the first or second week in November this year on my way to the ocean or my way back (taking a weeks vacation either week to be determined yet). I really enjoyed my couple days at Churchill last year the second week in November. I stopped by middle week, no big races of course. Thin crowd and you could really move around and do your thing, not body to body. I like to occasionally just chill out and enjoy the track without a billion people etc around. Of course they always have some nice allowance races tossed into their mid-week cards.

Whats not to love, on the other hand, about a big day at Churchill with the ladies sportin their southern charm, etc..

Just my 2 cents. If you haven't, check out Churchill when you can mid week.
