Mr Camby you've been given away for nada...

So what does it mean when you have stats like these as a 12 year veteran who can still play and your sent packing for a better second round draft pick. The Clippers could possibly finish ahead of Denver next year leaving open the potential to end up PAYING the Clipper's to take Camby......I guess the money saved does count for something but this just seems awfully cheap for Camby who has had a decent career nonetheless

From the 4 letter....

Camby, a 6-foot-11, 235-pounder, averaged 9.1 points, 13.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.61 blocked shots last season, his sixth with the Nuggets. He joined Dikembe Mutombo as the only player to lead the NBA in blocked shots for three straight seasons, and his four blocked shot titles are tied with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Mark Eaton for the most in league history.

UMASS alumni must be a bad bad man to get exiled to Clipperville

It means he is a joke as D-player of the year last year, and 2nd this year.
So you got the defensive player of the year, at Center, he is mobile, and they wont even put him on Tim Duncan because he would be totally abused.

He always got a cheesy assignment on D so he could come off
his man and block a shot into the stands, ball back to the opponent.
And Denver's defense was so good with him. A good player, but very overrated player imo and another example of worthless stats.

No NBA thread is complete without the mentioning of the great Mark Eaton:rolleyes:

Its not as open and shut as "camby for nothing". Denver gets two valuable financial assets:

1) luxury tax relief

2) a 10 million dollar trade exception

The latter could end up being extremely valuable...if they can find the right partner for the sign and trade.

Living proof that not every NBA player was a great athlete. George Muresan is also from this same school, The school of the large but challenged white Marfan man.
