Horsemen????????

This is widly used. I would like to know what is a HORSEMAN . Owner, breeder, trainer, employee, rider, pinhooker, han dicaper,or just anyone in the industry? It seems that the bettor is never considered a HORSEMAN. We use this term a lot but it dosent point the finger at anyone but just generalizations.

AAAh GrassHopper you need to feeeeeeeeeel the horse:)

A Good horseman is someone who will never tell you he a good horseman;)

I find it the best thing about horses they dont give a **** about your university degree or how much money you make so you can come from anybackground but they actually feel how you react !!
I personally think they have some level of ESP cause every time i think yeah while that horse is in the yard ill shut the gate their ears will perk up & they will fly out of the yard & gallop to the far end of the paddock:cool:

& No Having 500 horses a year & getting 5 that run really fast does not make a person a great horseman just a great buisnessman

My definition of a horseman is someone who actually deals with and handles the horses, so basically, trainers, grooms, riders. thats about it.

With your definition in mind, would you also only classify the "breeder" as the person that guides the stallion's d*** into the mare?

I always love the awards they give out for "Breeder of the Year". Typically, it is the person that does the research and pays the money to back their mare up to a high, hard one. And, typically, the more money the "breeder" has, the smarter they become in "breeding" circles.

Just a thought....
