Got to love Frank and MEC

MEC is now offering bonds to fund their slots machine design and construction. I wonder who would buy these bonds right now. I couldnt imagine them being AAA-lol. They have to be BB at best. Here is the link to the article in Bloodhorse.

there is another article in the drf i think today saying they are sellin one of their assets for $200,000,000 to pay down their debt. this should help them a great deal.and with the added slot revenue that should start in hte fall, they are back in the black! (this is not a racial slur)

Oh they will be in the black in no time flat. Frank didnt become a billionaire by being dumb. I think it is a perfect time to buy MEC. But I would only buy with the money I am dont expect to get back--lol. I love bond issues. State bonds are my fav.

my buddy and i were talkin yesterday at Spa and said CD or Magna would destroy NY racing. No more coolers, $30 admission on up, $20 parking, screw job after screw job would mean a ghost town at the Spa. The NYRA can be improved, or that Empire Racing group of NYers, but they do deserve a lot of credit for a fun, family friendly racing experience.

Why do you think it would cost $30 for admission? Churchill only charges $2 to get into thje facilites. The only two exceptions are Derby and Oaks.

No, it gets you where ever you want to go except for the boxes and millionaire's row. The infield is closed on all days other than Oaks and Derby.

What? You are obviously biased. All you NYRA defenders are out of control. It is corrupt as them come. They are working on cleaning up their act but no rational person can defend them. You statements about Stronach are ridiculous. Just pulled them out of nowhere. Here are facts

"Following an indictment brought by the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District in December 2003, the U.S. Attorney agreed to defer prosecution in return for NYRA’s agreement to the imposition of a court-appointed monitor to ensure reforms. In March 2004, Getnick and Getnick was appointed as monitor and today filed a report with Judge Spatt on the results achieved."

If the US Attorneys office has to indict you, you aren't doing such a great job.

Here is the link to the seating prices from Churchill.

Heck, Saratoga charges $25 for Travers Day. Churchill only charges $40 for Derby and $25 for Oaks. Now we all know the Derby is a better race than the Travers.

A ghost town at the Spa? Get a reality check. $30 admission? $20 parking? Where do you get this garbage from?

Have you ever read this report on NYRA

my buddy said that they were thinking of banning coolers from Saratoga a few years ago and they fans were ready to riot.

i don't think Magna allows coolers or free reign to the grounds. What about Churchill, coolers ?
