Theres other two horses tha keep my eyes on them: FAIRMILE 3th to Mystical in NAD, and the other; Remember High Chaparral, well his son ANCIENT LIGTHS may not race, but if it is and he is likes his father, BEWARE.:)

Lets see if Godolphin have ruined another potential star.

EDIT: wow, he actually won. Frankie chose Fairmile who was sent off at 1-2 and Hala Bek won. So glad this horse is back, like Brock said, he is potentially very good.

wow, havent seen the race but winning margin was 7L. it could be very easy to go overboard, but at least we know he still has a bit of an engine in him..

He could be exceptional. Michael Jarvis always thought he was and for him to have finished fourth in the Epsom Derby on only his second start (and should have won) suggests he is top class.

From Racing Post...

Hala Bek off course

Nick Robson

HALA BEK is set for another spell on the sidelines after meeting with a slight setback.

Godolphin's five-year-old, who returned with a devastating display at Nottingham after a two-year absence, was slightly stiff after his comeback run.

As a result, Saeed bin Suroor is in no rush to set the 2006 Epsom Derby fourth any particular target.

"Hala Bek has had a setback and I think it happened in the race," said the trainer. "The next day we found him to be a little stiff. "We know he is a good horse so we don't want to rush him, we need to give him time so that he is happy and sound.

"We are just going to give him time so we have no plans for him at the moment."

I don't buy into the fact that he suffered this "setback" in that race. Either way it looks bad on Godolphin, either they are using that as an excuse or it shows that they do cover these things up for quite a long time. It's been a month after that last race of his.
