2 Saturday Plays

American Oaks - You have to look to the Euros in here and Satan's Circus looks like the best value to me. 5th in the French Oaks last time with a nice Racing Post rating. Carribean Sunset is probably better but hasn't proven she can go this long. Playing Satan's Circus to win and in exactas with the three other Euros.

Prioress - I've always liked Secret Gypsy and I think she might round back into her maiden-breaking form for this. She'll be fit on the turn-back and 3rd off the lay-off at a distance that suits her speed. 10-1 would be a gift but even half that may be worth a play.

How do you think the Prioress plays out pacewise? I think Secret Gypsy is a key horse to this race as a legit filly to press Indian Blessing hard. I like the Dutrow's here expecially Anthony's horse, 1. Indian Way. I'm most impressed by her debut race where that bad break is usually a move that has horses running evenly and ending up at back of the pack. She broke well in start two and won like a champ. Big move from maiden to Grade 1 but these horses are lightly raced. The hot pace up front will not hold up and I believe this one could pick up the pieces.

I know this may be a strange pick with all the stakes races being run today but...

I'm going to look to Woodbine for the 5th on grass, I'm taking a shot with Serenity Lake at 12-1 in the morning line. She might not go off that high but she should be considered a longshot with a chance.

Great card at Hollywood Park today. And for you pick six players a million dollar carry over to boot!

I can't play the pick six. Hey I have trouble enough with a pick three and to play the 'Six you need a big bankroll.

Race 3 Fassnacht- a maiden but he wants longer and the six furlongs could be perfect. Harrington is a superior baby trainer and the ML is 12:1.

Cha'ching!!

Race 9 Satan's Circus- this Euro fits a pattern I've seen many times. A Euro shipper into HOL when the connections are so intent on winning they bring their jock transatlantic. She's batting .500 and again the price should be right as she is 8:1.

Good Luck!
