SAT - Colonial Downs & AP Spot Plays

Colonial Downs

R7 - Buckland (Turf)

#7 Ride Em Cowgirl - Improving, career best in latest at AP.
#6 Cat On the Cloud - Will have to deal with other speed, but capable of shaking them off.
#4 Smart and Fancy - Turf efforts are strong.
#2 Privately Approved - Closer has won last two on the lawn. Steps up.

R8 - G3 All Along (Turf)

#9 Rutherienne - Classy well traveled filly makes her 8th start at 8th different track. All systems go as she tries to move up the ladder in a very deep division.
#2 Lady Digby - Battled gamely in the G3 Galorette versus one of the division's best. Only one with a win on this course.
#8 Valbenny (Ire) - Has found a home with the Barbaro connections and expect a better performance in her 2nd start of the year.
#7 High Moment - Comes out of a competitive race at MTH and may move forward.

R9 - G3 Colonial Turf Cup (Turf)

#9 Sailor's Cap (BEST BET) - Bang up 2nd in the G3 American Turf to winner Tizdevavu, who took the G3 Jefferson Cup at CD last week. Toner a master of the lawn and this Team Valor runner looks to have a very bright future.
#6 Nistle's Crunch - 3rd in the G3 American Turf and should be 2nd best here.
#10 Adriano - Crushed foes in his last trip on the sod before the connections caught Derby fever. Dirt efforts were subpar to say the least.
#4 Sporting Art - Burned money in Chicago as the odds on favorite in the Arlington Classic, but his G3 victories in Florida can not be overlooked.

PK3 - 2 4 6 7 / 2 8 9 / 9 = $12 (I'll punch it a few times)

Arlington Park (Prairie State Festival)

R7 - Lincoln Heritage Handicap (Turf)

#6 Love Handles - She's been keeping nice company and has been pointed for this.
#1a - Lady Lionel - Nice 3rd in the Reluctant Guest at AP last out behind Forever Together (3rd in the G1 Just a Game at BEL) and Lemonline (Comeback winner last out).

R8 - Black Tie Affair Handicap (Turf)

#7 Snapphok (Value Play) - Solid customer had been right there versus open company and gets a positive jock switch to Velez (6 for 21 at the meet on the turf). A bit of an overlay and worth taking visit to the window.

Good Racing Luck

Didn't you say that last week about Curlin?

Nice P3 Gus, I hoped you played it more than a couple of times.

Thanks King, yeah I punched it a few times and with the scratch of Valbenny, it was a bit cheaper.

Well done, as usual Gus. Looking forward to seeing my home track tomorrow.

Hope you're well.

Thanks Kev, I was wondering if you were there today. Awesome Turf course. I know you'll be there for the Virginia Derby (Probables - Tizdejavu, Ready's Echo, Sailor's Cap, Gio Ponti).

Indeed....LOVE the turf course there. Just wish we had a little higher quality horses there during the non-stakes days, but it is what it is.

I acutally hope to NOT be at the VA Derby this year. VA State Open is the same weekend, so I hope to be playing in that instead.

Good Luck Kev. Now that Tiger is out for the year, here's your chance.

Scav, where are you playing at?

Looking forward to Friday at AP (Party in the Park). Kev would enjoy the atmosphere from what I've heard.

Arlington Lakes. We usually play Mount Prospect but earliest time was like 1:30 because I called too late. Will be nice to play a different course, albeit a little less quality, I have heard they don't take care of it that well.

Kev would be down with all the 24-34 year old woman.....I am surprised Arlington doesn't market that a little better.

Don't know too much of the courses up there. I've been playing every other Monday for the last two months, South Surburbs (Heritage Bluffs, Nettle Creek, Mistwood). They don't call me Bogey for nothing. I usually shoot right at 90, I miss the days I was able to play 3 times a week in Florida. The golf game suffers up here and with my time restrictions (kids) it makes it impossible to get any kind of feel. We should have a DT tournament.
