Sunday Arlington

If you are planning on playing AP today and aren't in the area, we are in the middle of a major storm and I would say its extremely unlikely any races would stay on the grass. So far, AP hasn't had a problem with their drainage since they put the new surface in but this is probably the hardest rain they've had. We'll see.

Yielding turf

i would expect that to change as far as the turf, perhaps off. its still pouring

JJP 06-08-2008 12:34 PM

If they stay on the grass it will be a bigger upset than Da Tara winning yesterday.

JJP 06-08-2008 12:35 PM

Its official; off the grass.

I pass on wet synthetic track. I have no idea about what effect it has

Was on the 2nd hole when the rain happened. I got talked into playing as according to my friend, who thinks he is a weather man, said it wasn't going to rain until 3pm....Very smart individual when it started pouring :zz:

rain polytrack - speed holds tons better than on dry poly. Very rarely will you find a winner that is not on the lead or stalking a couple lengths behind the lead.
Dry poly - exact opposite

too many 1 1/16 races today. Just don't like that short finish. All three off turf went to that distance plus 2 or 3 originally carded.
