Do they really need to card 13 races?
 
Seems a bit overdone.

I assume you're referring to the two races after the Belmont. Yeah, that makes sense but then why start the card an hour early. You could run 11 races and card the Belmont as the 9th, without 11 am CT/9 am Pacific start.

I guess if you were at Belmont after the races you could go straight to watch Saturday Night Live.

DRF charts says only 94K showed up.

Were there 26K in new births in the backyard?
