count fleet/big brown ?
 
yes its another bb thread..some striking similaritys..

good horse in a bad crop year

hoof problems

faced no one in the belmont

wins tc

you might want to go read count fleets story before comparing big brown to him.
also, count fleet never ran again after the belmont, but still managed 21 --starts by then-including running in and winnning the withers between the preakness and the belmont.

count fleet bettered several records, including running a workout that shaved a second off the track record. won the champagne (mile race) in world record time for a two year old.

he may have faced a small field in the belmont, but he had the largest winning margin ever in that race (til secretariat) and also set the stakes record for the race that day.

big brown has a lot more to do besides win the tc if he wants to be compared to count fleet-not for nothing is that horse ranked as #5 out of the horses who ran in the 20th century.
