Maker and Ramsey on a claiming Spree at Churchill

Never seen a owner and trainer combo claim 6 in one day at a track....they claimed two horses in two races also. Ramsey must have hit a pick 6 yesterday.

Guess you didn't see Mike Gill decimate the MD claiming ranks this spring before he moved all of them to Suffolk?

If they were fillies/mares, he is trying to get horses to breed to Kitten's Joy, he claimed one the other day from Arlington that was sent right to him in the shed

As always, he wants to win the owner's title. Maggi Moss has made an effort to stop him. All those claims will run back cheaper toward the end of the meet.

Freddy and I are on a spree of getting cockblocked at the PID claimbox.

4/29/08 to 06/01/08 (meet to date).

They have claimed 24 horses for $581,000

So he is returning to the game?

The Indomitable DrugS 06-02-2008 10:09 AM

No, he claimed all of those horses to give kiddies pony rides at the new Juiced to the Gill Fair he is having each year in his home town.

Sorry Drugs, i am not familiar with maryland racing, except for one day a year and the occasional turf race

It's Ok Scavs.

I'm only mad about your earlier post in this thread because I didn't take you in the 6th and final round of the fantasy tard draft.

If I had and you didn't go undrafted I could have scored a few points with your post and padded my lead.

What about Canela??? Maker took him off moss/amoss for 25k when he ran up the track. Ran him back for 40k and he galloped.

:)

I should have been more descriptive in my post, in that I was looking to see if he was doing the same thing he did before (Claim/drop for wins) or if he was doing something different.....

He has taken most, if not all of them to Suffolk Downs. He lost a couple before he moved them but I'd bet he took at least 50 horses out of circulation here. When we're short on horses to begin with, you know that's gotta hurt.

At least he's gone north - for the time being.....
