Result stands? Belmont's 7th
how hard do you have to run into someone before you are taken down?
I've had horses taken down for failing to maintain a straight course while not touching a soul.. New York is a head scratcher when it comes to DQs |
I quit playing after the 6th, so I don't have an interest. With that said, I think it was a great call by the stewards. The 6 was dead to rights and appeared to drift in before the 6 made contact.

so the 3 can pinball off someone as long as they are done running
ok |
The leader....the 5 had more to do with it than anything else. This may have caused the 3 to do what he did. And no, I don't think it's OK to steamroll anyone, but in this case, the stewards used common sense. Besides, did you see a Jockeys Objection by the rider of the 6???

I also think the resulting chain reaction may have cost the 9 a placing
I've had so many DQs that didn't do a fraction of what the 3 did taking the 3 down does not give me a winner btw I am betting too many races :o |

I didn't see.. didn't bet it.. but don't bother trying to figure out the stewards decisions in NY... they're never consistent.

That was a tough one. . . Prado didn't really have anywhere to go - either he swings wide and hits the 6 or he has to check or run in to the back of the 5. . . I had the exacta both ways but if they took the 3 down I don't think he'd be second so I guess I got lucky . . .
