Incredibly suppositious facts about Casino Drive!!!

-His time for his debut win in Japan was the fastest ever for a horse making his debut at that distance by one full second.

-Six horses from that race returned to win their next start. And two of them are now stakes winners in Japan.

-After his debut, Godolphin offered to buy him for $10MM. After the Peter Pan, their offer went to $15MM.

-His last workout before he left Japan unofficially broke a track record.

Sounds like Godolphin was lowballing them.

Evidently, he just may have taken over "the best horse to ever look through a bridle" mantle from Spectacular Bid.

do you think he's here for the beautiful NYC scenery? the derby gets all the hype but the belmont is the test of champions for a reason. horseman have been aiming for this one race for a long time. if woody were around you could ask him about it. not saying hes going to win, because hes never raced in competition like this. but other than BB what competition is there ? put it this way it won't be some huge upset if he does win. this is a nice horse and he doesn't have to be that great to beat this bunch.

I agree with you. I will be betting on him. And rooting for him.

I think it's reasonable to assume Casino Drive will improve off his Peter Pan, and Big Brown has a million rights to regress.

And if you believe in Beyers, it's arguable they are already closer than some would say.

(For the record, I am both mocking the hype, and adding to it.)

oh i know. i was playing along because i like him a little too. i don't buy into the beyers unless the horses are evenly matched. when horses run away and hide like this horse does and BB does, you really don't know whats up until they race against each other. hell i've seen 30k claimers get high beyers when they run against crap thats inferior. people get carried away by how a horse looks when it wins easy. but even cheap horses look great when the comp sucks . people thought easy goer was the shiznit until he met sunday silence. bernardini was sliced bread until he got diced by invasor. those beyers go only so far or else people would be right every race.
