The Second Act

Putting aside the TC kids, who do you think will do well / hope will do well outta the other 3 year olds?

Who will we be talking about at the end of the year?

Anyone?

CSC 05-20-2008 12:41 PM

Well Stormcat, he's been mentioned by me and many others on this forum already Harlem Rocker looks like he maybe a very good one.

justindew 05-20-2008 12:47 PM

I think Casino Drive will be named Champion 3-year-old.

Barrier Reef

I'm looking forward to Paint, He's solid Gold and The Roundhouse returning from injury, although I don't expect any of them to make any noise in any of the big races.
For fillies, Turn Away and Patricia's Gem.
And as far as unraced colts, maybe Sequoyah and Powerhouse.

Cannon Shell 05-20-2008 02:26 PM

Makutus

Halfbridled 05-20-2008 02:28 PM

I would have said Kentucky Bear, but so far there's a lot of hype and not much performance.
I would like to see Wicked Style and The Roundhouse do well.

oh, and Denis of Cork should improve as well.

MISTERGEE 05-20-2008 02:29 PM

Motovato

knickslions2 05-20-2008 02:32 PM

Still think Colonel John can rebound after a bad start at the derby

tiggerv 05-20-2008 02:38 PM

Georgie Boy

blackthroatedwind 05-20-2008 02:42 PM

Harlem Rocker, Unbridled's Heart and Biker Boy.

Anyone, other than them, and aside from Big Brown and Casino Drive ( maybe ), that has run this year is a joke.

The Indomitable DrugS 05-20-2008 02:58 PM

Even Georgie Boy?

Maybe sprinting. Let's see him run on dirt. He's seems pretty good I guess.

In the hope he does well category, ummm... Mr. Shortcake. :o :D

I think Lieutenant Ron will be the top 3yr old if Big Brown or Casino Drive falter or just retire. It is hard to fall in love with a graeme hall but kiaran mclaughlin seems to think he is his best horse since Invasor.

out of all the west coast-based horses, I thought Crown of Thorns was the best out there. Sadly, I don't think he'll be back until later in the year.

He's obviously very talented but all things considered I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for him to put together a string of races. However, you are definitely right that he belongs on any list of the possible 3YO stars of the second half of the season.

MISTERGEE 05-20-2008 03:42 PM

2ND half star-keep Motovato on list
positives, trainer, breeding, speed
negatives, possibly one hit wonder-but I doubt it
