Didn't get anything done at work today

before I went to the track I tuned my TV to HRTV and told my family what time the race for Kickin N Screamin was. To just come over to my place and turn on the TV and watch the race and with any luck they'll see me in the winner's circle.

They feigned interest but said they would watch.

I called some friends and told them to be sure and go to the OTB and bet her...

after the race my cellphone is ringing off the hook. congratulating me on the win.

My sister admitted to me that the neighbors had to hear her yelling at the TV. :D

I brought in donuts to celebrate at work and had everyone coming by to hear how she came from 15 lengths back to win.

It was almost an outerbody experience cheering Kickin N Screamin on as she showed up on the turn and mowed 'em all down.

Thanks Steve, Chuck, TC, Scavs and everyone else involved. This is a dream come true.

Have to say that when I heard the race replay on ATR, I still got chills down my spine. (And don't worry, Steve -- me and the thousands of people who were listening won't tell anyone how you got choked up on the air like Sally Field at the '85 Oscars.)

"Are you crying?" "There's no crying in horse racing" (or maybe that's baseball) ;)

Actually was able to catch the show reply today as my dad and I spent an extra day in Chi-town yesterday playing some golf. Great stuff especially in the third hour.

Back in the office today and my focus on work today was basically non-existent as I had to play to shorten race video (maddening) at least 10 times for my co-workers. Oh OK, I just wanted to watch it myself. :D

Hope to have some pictures up later tonite.
