Magnificante Magnificience!

Can't wait for this mare's comback race! I'd say she's just about ready according to the workout today!!

"MAGNIFICIENCE (Stormy Atlantic), undefeated in two starts including the 2007 Santa Paula S. (G3), worked toward a comeback by blitzing four furlongs in :44 4/5  on the Cushion Track, easily the fastest of 31 works at the distance."

She needs to stop running with the Iron Man speed suit as she seems to have an unfair advantage on the rest of the ole' girls......

Why would anyone work a horse in 44 4/5...especially one as fragile as this?

Well, she does appear to be somewhat of a freak. Not sure if she ran off or what, but that is just an unbelievable workout! Curlin did the same thing before shipping over to Dubai.
As far as being "fragil"..I forget why she took time off last year, but whatever it was appears to be behind her. I will keep the faith that she stays sound this time and we get to see what she is made of this year.

Headley's only had one fatal breakdown on the track in over 50 years of training and he's had many horses run at a top level for long amounts of time.

He works his horses fast but they last.

Not sure I completely agree, he works them fast and the ones that hold up are sound enough to continue on, he goes through horses like you go through socks ;)
