Rampillion update!

Today was Rampillion's first day at Trackside...she was very professional and took in all the new sights and sounds like a champ. She went out in company with the Mizzen Mast filly (ridden by Cherie) and a baby of Steve Margolis's. Despite the zoo of geese in the infield, she jogged one and galloped one with her ears pricked. She was very well behaved and came home quietly. I really like her personality, she seems very sure of herself and maybe a little bit cocky...a good thing for a racehorse!

:)

Rampillion went over to Dubai, and is back now? I'm sorry, I'm trying to recall the horse, can someone give me a little backround on the story?

Hehe..maybe I should change that!

:) Rampillion continues to train beautifully, she is such a good girl and so much fun to ride...and she has such a fun personality in the barn too. When you guys come to visit her she'll quickly win you over..she's not only got her rock star haircut, but she's very personable too.

:)

Ohh, yeah...does anyone happen to have a nickname for her? Me and Cherie are having trouble thinking of one and Rampillion is too long to call her.

How about Pilipili (shortened to Pili)? It's a red pepper sauce from East Africa.

[sidenotes: while looking in the dictionary, I found it interesting that pillion, as in Rampillion, means passenger seat: a seat for a passenger behind the driver of a motorcycle or the rider of a horse. If she didn't have such a fun personality, and had the opposite personality, pilliwinks might be appropriate. It's an instrument of torture used on the fingers and thumbs in medieval times. It's still kind of a 'cute' name, if you don't know what it means. Or, how about pilsner? Okay, that's it... I'm done for now....]
