Mike Welsch chat at DRF at 7P.M.

Anyone?

This should be the most informative of the three chats they've had. He's the guy that's seen the most of these horses in person, and from my experience reading him, he's got a very keen eye for who's doing well and who isn't. Hopefully we get a lot of questions about how the horses look and not a bunch of bullshit asking how he's going to bet on Saturday.

I'll be there just in case Kenny Mayne or Hank Goldberg show up.

Who is Welsch?

I'm down.

MUDROUT__Guest_: Who are your 5 throw-outs, and who would be in your 5 horse exacta box?

Mike_Welsch: I guess if I had to pick the five horses I think have the least chance of winning I'd go with Anak Nakal, Eight Belles, Bob Black Jack, Recapturetheglory and maybe Cowboy

Mike_Welsch: Cal. My five horse exacta box at the moment would be Denis of Cork, Z Fortune, Colonel John, Big Brown and Pyro although if you want to get really adventurous and toss Big Brown I'd put Court Vision in next.

sorry Mike, I've mushed your Exacta. (a little) I did a 6 horse box that included Tale of Ekati but excluded Colonel John

I'm faster than all of the speed to my immediate inside, so I'll do what I have to do to get into a good position at the first turn. I just hope all those other outside horses break well, or it's "ciao baby". I'll probably be a few wide after the first turn though. I don't expect to be on the lead, but most likely in the top 3 or 4. Good question.
