THANK GOD: KEENELAND racing is BACK

Damn, PROFESSIONAL racing is back in the US.

Let's review some of the niceties offered by KEE but not YOUR local track

1) FREE Online (almost real time) video --INCLUDING HEADONS --what a novel notion, a US
track actually sharing information with its clients

2) Clear video --just about the best camera work in the industry

3) FULL HEADON REPLAYS: no need to SKIMP on tape like they do at SA
(then again, when you can't get the POLY thing right, you need to skimp
where you can ---BUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh)

3) accurate data --- Trackus, for those who actually MIND paying for
inaccurate data from the leech EQUIBASE

4) competitive fields

5) FAIR racing surfaces --- NYRA might want to take notice here

It's brief but it's about as good as it gets. ENJOY

Screw going to the BIG (UNFAIR) A on Saturday. I should just hang in front of my PC and enjoy some private time with WORLD CLASS racing at KEE. The good life.

You must be a NYRA supporter. There are other ways to win races than speed on the rail.

Keeneland in the spring and Saratoga in the summer.

Do you really think the poly at KEE was fair last year?

And so what if the AQU inner has a bias? It's winter racing there isn't much you can do.

pgardn 04-01-2008 07:20 PM

Fatman's 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th reason's
could open up a gold mine at other
tracks.

If...

all proceeds from betting the track
actually went back to the track.

pgiaco 04-01-2008 07:21 PM

He's still pissed that it took him this long to figure out the inner track favors speed. It's only been like that since, oh, 1978.

Don't forget all the sales commissions.

I don't know if this will make sense:

The difference between KEE and AQU inner, for those who chart races and actually have categorized different race types, is that you can make sense of what happens at KEE (or just about any other track) but you can't at AQU. 90% PLUS of the winter races produce the same linespoints graph. It's a joke.
And it's not like you can just sit back, note who got the biased trip and bet against next out, because you never know if the track is playing fair or whether your jock will get the jump on the field. You have horses that can't win going 6F on a fair track wiring the field going (2 turns) 8F plus.

There are horses who have run huge efforts against the bias this winter and never got a chance to run back to them because the track was consistently unfair.

KEE offers huge betback opportunities ---especially for horses that ran well there entered next out at CD.

hockey2315 04-01-2008 07:28 PM

But is KEE a fair track? . . I'm not denying the AQU inner bias. . . and I'm excited for KEE to open too. But it's absurd to say that KEE plays fairly.

can anyone tell me if prussian is a graded stakes winner ? i think he won the race at woodbine that dreaming of anna won, but i am not sure, and even if he did win that is it graded ? and if it was graded how much was it worth for him ?
thank you

If you followed the inner dirt meet this past season two things would should have stood out.

1. The quality of horses was at an all time low.
2. The inside speed bias was not around much at all.

There were days which horses won racing at or near the front and running on the inside but most made sense of you looked at the horses and pp's.

Keeneland's website is the gold standard of racetrack websites. The only thing I disagree with the original posters remarks is his 5th point of Keeneland having a fair racing surface. They went from a front running bias to a back of the pack closers bias.

your way off... i record the replays everyday, watch every race....... and there is a inside speed bias a lot of the time, a lot more then you saying NOT AROUND MUCH AT ALL

there are horses that have got to the top and kept going that had no right to keep going

WE AGREE ? what a day !!!!

For the typical SPEED oriented player this is an anomaly. Horses wiring the field as the way things should be is both counterintuitive and contrary to natural laws. In any reasonably related event, cycling, for example, for someone to wire the field, they need to be MUCH BETTER than the field. The same is true on fair turf courses and poly (excepting the mess out at SA for those early few weeks).
Horses that have had the advantage of drafting will have a better chance to win. More moves in a race means that the race has a higher likelyhood of falling apart. Do away with the wide-without-cover trip, that most US jockeys think is just fine, and you actually have competitive YET fair races. What you guys think is an unfair closers 'bias' is actually just about the fairest racing there is out there. And not remotely related to the 'bias' at AQU this winter (or that at KEE before poly).

Prussian won the G3 Summer S. at Woodbine. . . It was worth $251,600 (I think that's in USD). He has about $151K in graded earnings with a 60% share of the purse- but I know what you're thinking- no way he goes to the derby.

Here's a newsflash, Doof,

too easy to cash at FG, TAM, and the rest, over the winter
