Euroears out for 6 months

http://www.drf.com/news/article/93272.html

Had a great time following this horse at the Fairgrounds this year was looking forward to his next races and breeders cup.
Made some nice payoffs with him early on too as he was ignored at the window.
Glad the prognosis is good, but what a shame.

That stinks for Calhoun and the connections, was lookin forward to the rest of the starts for that one. Hope the fracture heals and he makes it back in 2009, wow.

Euroears on Tuesday underwent surgery to have two screws placed in the ankle, a procedure that was able to be done with the horse standing.

If this is true, Euroears is the Mother Teresa of racehorses.

No. He must be a saint if he lets people drill hardware into his limbs. I suppose likening him to Jesus would have technically been more correct, but perhaps not appropriate amongst any ultra-conservative board members.

I figure most wouldn't mind the Mother Teresa comparison, seeing as how at least half the people on here probably think she's the lady that lends her name to those convenient little frozen pizzas that you can usually get 10 for $10 at your local Food4Less (with club card, of course).

I guess in that respect, she still feeds the poor...
