If anyone did not hear Trainer Barry Abrahms comments about #1 Orbits World in the 5th at Santa Anita today then listen to the replay on 'ATR'. That's about as blunt as I've heard any trainer talk about his entry. Hope the odds are at least the morning line of 7/2.

What were the comments?

To my shock, Abrams, who is not a boastful guy, said to bet on the horse and go stand in line to collect your winnings...

It's pretty wild if you listen to it. I was using the horse in the Magna anyway, but did narrow down to it and the 7.

Can anyone explain that 30% thing that Abrams was talking about in regards to breeding the horse and how he will still get 30% if Orbit's World gets claimed?

The sire, Unusual Heat, is his. Assume he was referencing breeder awards... And the breeder herself may be part of the Abrams family as well...

So basically just toss the horse.

So he gets 30% of the purses because of it?

Breeders awards are bonuses over and above purses..

Stumbled a bit at the start and was never in contention...........interesting that the odds in the last two minutes went from 9/2 to 4 to 7/2 and then finally 3-1................alive on the board but dead on his performance. Very strange............more people than I lost a few $$$ on him.

I was standing at the window to collect my winnings and missed the race.....
