Advice from the Pick 6 guru's please...

These are my thoughts on the middle 4 races...there are 4 speed types that I am capping to wire the field...I would expect that at least 2 of the 4 will win...how do I construct my tickets to maximize this theory?

Please don't critique my selections, just help me with the formula...

Here we go...

race 4...crap shoot, i'll put together that leg when I get the info available to me as it is the 1st leg

race 5...#8 Double Delta

race 6...#9 My Song

race 7...#1 Elixir

race 8...#1 Ghost Dancing

race 9...see race 4 except with no info

Any advice on a formula?

Some big scratches...here they are

1 1 (poe) Tomorrows Dance Early
2 1A Divorce Court Early 4 Fourth Chapter Early
3 1 (poe) Debussy Early 2 (poe) Trophy Road Early
4 5 Uhatemecuzuaintme Early
5 3 Jackie Jam Early
6 2 Mugger Hugger Early
7 1A Loaves and Dishes Early 2 Icabad Crane Early 3 Sonic Boom Early 5 Parky Early
9 10 Walnut Cove Early

It's a complicated answer but if you are saying that at least two of them MUST win in order for you to hit you would have two races singled on every ticket you play. How you construct the rest of your play around that depend on how much money you want to spend and where you feel you have to go in the other races.

As andy said. Those 4 legs would look like:

Think I got 'em all.

Your coverage horses will determine if you can hit with all 3 or all 4 or your runners winning.

Also check to make sure you don't end up with dup's.

Good Luck!

PMac outlined it perfectly... and unfortunately it would still cost a pretty good amount to cover well. Lets say hypothetically you need to use 5 in each of the first and last legs, and if the key speed horse doesnt win there's 3 other contenders in the middle legs. Your ticket would then cost 5X5X3X3X1X1 = 225 combinations or $450, times 6 tickets for each of the double single combinations = $2700.

I think your idea is excellent but in practice still very difficult and the reason the pick 6 is such a tough wager.

Got that far thanks...I'm just having a tough time leaving the other two speeds off of the tickets altogether, but i'm not looking to blow the entire bank roll either, so i figured i would do those 6 tickets, then put in a 7th ticket, singling the 4 speeds, and going real wide in the 1st and last...does that make sense?

Bet Simon Bray's ticket on TVG.

I think next logical step is really create a new set of tickets (3 singles and a coverage and 4 singles).

This will likely get pricey and starts to become the problem with weighting horses evenly in 4 different legs in my opinion.

Still an interesting approach.
