Santa Anita - Friday

Spot play - Race 3 - #2 Small But Mighty.

This horse ran alot better then the form shows. Only beaten 6 lengths after being 4w/5w the whole race. Worth consideration at what should be 5/1

I like her as well now that you have pointed that out. Thanks for sharing. I also like the other two grays in there, both firsters.

Root, I also think the 1 has a shot in that race. Look at the bullet four back, with 3 maintenance works to maybe slow her down a little. I know Yakteen is brutal with 1sters, but Garcia/Yakteen is pretty positive (I think 25% off the top of my head)

Hardest races today there are 3,4,6, otherwise, should be pretty simple. Bet closers, that is all I can say

Yes on the 1, I see they are 2 of 3 together with a +$9.60 ROI.....worth a play. This is the most difficult of the day for me.

As for the 4th, I landed on #4 High Intellect and #8 Skyspy

As for the 6th, I LOVE #1 Kachina Dream @ 10-1.....Also use #8 Ourfavoriteone @ 12-1 underneath.

One more bomb...watch out for Lobo in the 8th.

Here is my carryover ticket

3)2,3,6,8 Late change as I heard the 8 could be live
4)4,8
5)2,7
6)1 (10-1)
7)1,4
8)10 (30-1)
$64

Late 4
5)2,7
6)1,8,9
7)1,3,4
8)8,10,11

Not a fan of High Intellect, horse will be near the lead, those are auto tosses for me until something happens to the track. You can't win if you are 2 lengths on the lead, regardless of how fast they are going, I think it is the rail, they hit the final turn and just spit the bit, anything on the outside just flys by. That race I looked at 6-7-8

Rootdog1 02-29-2008 03:02 PM

4,5,8 are going to be fighting it out up front, I just think the others are just too slow to make up ground on them. If I was going to add one it was the #3 Byjohn at a price. we shall see. Good luck

ZADA BELLE returns from a16+ month layoff for Darley in the 2nd.

Just gotta hope she don't crossfire:rolleyes:

Rootdog1 02-29-2008 03:22 PM

HA! Yes, looking forward to it with the way the track is playing it could get interesting.

I thought I felt some heat coming from her puffy ankles...but then I realized my laptop has been on for a few hours.

declansharbor 02-29-2008 03:29 PM

$2 to show on Zada Belle

Rootdog1 02-29-2008 03:35 PM

Dude....there has been 2 races...and one was on the grass. The other race, Zada Belle could have won with 3 legs.

GPK 02-29-2008 04:03 PM

race 1, one the grass...wire to wire winner.

race 2, on the poly, Newport Topper was allowed to get away, opened up by 6 lengths. Zada Belle ran her down, but she was still able to hold for 2nd.

Rootdog1 02-29-2008 04:03 PM

The #6 (the one I like) is taking MAD late money...

Scavs - Not sure yet
