Tom Fool as I see it

As far as a wagering race, the 3 horses I see that most likely win this are Silver Train, War Front and Bigg Apple Daddy. Obviously if you are playing pick 4's or the pick 6, use all 3 horses.

Silver Train looms the horse to deny. His record at Belmont is awesome and he has handled all comers at various distances. 7F should be ideal. As far as trips can go, he has proven he can win with fast splits or slow splits, this race looks like they will be going every bit 22 and 44, so his ST's chances are further upgraded.

The horse I think is the most likely winner besides Silver Train, is War Front. His workouts are stunning and I look for him to be on the lead just ahead of Anew. I guess it all depends on just how hard he has to work to keep Anew off of him and whether or not he needs a race in him to be at his peak.

Possible spoiler includes Big Apple Daddy but he needs a couple things to happen: A complete pace meltdown and getting a huge jump on Silver Train.

The bet is an exacta box of Silver Train and War Front and maybe a win bet on War Front if he is 9/2 or higher.

Think Anew gets burned up on the pace and retreats with an off the board finish.

Good luck!

I like Anew. I think he is better than people might believe.

I respect Anew, but like any horse, they all throw in sub par races. I think today he is up against it and the price doesnt fit his chances to win. I also liked Dubai Escapade yesterday for obvious reasons, but she threw in a clunker. They all do, hardest part is predicting when they will.

If Anew wins this race he stamps himself as the early favorite to win the BC Sprint and I will not only be vey surprised but very, very impressed.

Sir Greeley is scratched in the Fool, as so is Golden Comander in the 7th, a horse I was going to single in the late pick 4. Now its back to the drawing board!

Anyone fancy anything in the 7th?

Tim,
Tough for me to decide between #2 Dave and #6 Continental Reins in the 7th.
Will try to narrow it down, or maybe use them both.

Thanks Wayne. Tough race. These horses have a history of "taking turns". I thought the race set up perfectly for Golden Commander, now to me its a total puzzle. I guess if I play the pick 4 I will be 3-4 deep in here.

Good luck to you and looking forward to meeting you in a couple of weeks :)

Good luck Tim.
btw...I don't think Anew will hit the board in the Fool.
See you at Toga.

I like Dave. Barclay also has Lael's Polished Arrow in Belmont's 3rd trying the turf today. I don't really like him there, but one of the guys I live with loves the horse.

BR,
As I said, I like Dave too, but I never discount a Jim J trainee.
Polished Arrow might do something in the 3rd, but honestly, I haven't paid attention to that race. I'll get back to you when I take a closer look.

Ok...took a look.
My heart says #4 Fast Iz a Turtle cause I like AP Jet's and Sugar Maple Farm.
He hasn't done much lately but did earlier in his career. I don't think he'd be in if he didn't have a chance to hit the board.
That said, #6 Apollo Jones is going to take it. Prado in the irons.
So...I'm thinking Apollo Jones over boxed Fast Iz a Turtle/Polished Arrow.
Same three for the tri.
Good luck!
