MLB fans, more tradition...down the drain!

For that last time this coming year.....

the last paragraph sums it up for me and my friends who use to do the same exact thing...

"I camped out there many times to get tickets to the game," Rayter said. "You feel the cold wind coming down Otsego Lake, and even though you're in that pristine, quaint village, it's still cold. It was the camaraderie of the other fans that kept you warm. I guess it isn't important anymore. They have other things to worry about I guess, with steroids."

I haven't been to one in years, but it's been a great tradition. It's just another way of MLB screwing the fans. It's hard to believe that this game is an inconvenience for major leaguers. When the Sox played in it in 2005 they had to practically shut down the village. I didn't go, but know plenty that did and everyone said the Sox players were having a blast. Shame on MLB.

A good friend of mine played in one for the Twins in the early 90's.. still remembers it fondly to this day. It's a shame, but that place has changed dramatically over the years. In fact, Doubleday Field is the only thing that hasn't changed.
