An Amazing Flop

Rudy is gunna take a probable distant 3rd in Florida. McCain gunna take it.Sometimes it just pays to show up.Romney only got 10% of Cubans.Wow,you're gunna struggle to win a Forida Republican Primary if ya get only 10 % of the Cubans.

Worse would be only getting 10% of the NY transplants.
The only reason the Democrats have a chance to take
that state.

What do you have if ya take away the NY transplants? Texas with Cubans? If this is the deal ...Clinton ,OBAMA,or McCain, then I will take that in a heartbeat. The guy can say what he needs to say,but that's no conservative. He was against Bush' tax cuts in 2001 for 2 reasons:

1)No spending cuts to match the loss of tax revenue(that could be called common sense,or populist.)

2)Not enough tax cuts for the middle class(not conservative.)

Now ,he has to say he wants to make the tax cuts permanent. The truth was what he said in 2001.That's how he feels. He and Lieberman aren't that far apart. If that's the worst we're gunna get, then you go getem' Johnboy.

Memo to Rudy:

Next time you put all of your eggs in one basket, you may want to make sure that that State's Governor is going to endorse you, instead of your competition.

"I shoulda waited 1 more week.Should have put every penny into New York, California, n' Jersey. Then you would realize the plan was the right idear. My friend Steve Forbes helped me with this plan.We all knew this would payoff. We simply picked the wrong week to enter the race, but the concept remains sound."-RUDY

He was consistantly losing to Ron Paul and Fred Thompson in almost every state prior to Florida...and Huckabee, who the press had as a fringe candidate a few months ago, BURIED him everywhere but in New Hampshire.

Not competing in the early states turned out to somehow be even dumber than it sounded in the first place.

Rudy isn't exactly a tactical mastermind.

He went from the clear-cut national front runner, to a consistant 5th and 6th place finisher...that was until Florida (where he spent all his time and money) - there he managed to nose out a badly cash strapped Mike Huckabee for 3rd yesterday!

ArlJim78 01-30-2008 12:24 PM

on top of the poor strategy, he was simply not a compelling candidate.

The guy running the most compelling campaign of all is in the midst of his dropping out speech.

This time around, he was like Huey Long - just without any supporters.

Yes, Forbes is the guy you want to get advice from on how to run a winning campaign.

Rudy will go on speaking tour and make $25 million the next 5 years.

He'll also be co-hosting the Rudy and Geraldo show on Fox soon.

The Indomitable DrugS 01-30-2008 12:56 PM

He will continue to milk 9/11 for all it's worth.

And occasionally mix in a few old Yogi Berra quotes.

If he really does make $25 million over the next five years just for giving speeches - he really ought to cut Osama a royalty or something.

SentToStud 01-30-2008 01:14 PM

Bill Clinton did $10 Million just in 2006.

Rudy will get his.
