San Miguel on the downhill?

Looking at the fractions of the race, one would assume thay they ran on the downhill turfcourse. Ive never seen fractions posted this fast other than down the hill. 20:4 43 1:06.4 final time of 1:13. I cant believe that these synthetic tracks can produce these insane times.

What kind of fractions would a horse like Fabulous Strike set if he were to race at SA?

He is riding really poorly right now. It's not like he isn't getting good mounts either. He had a number of live ones this weekend and didn't produce much.

Sea of Pleasure has absolute speed to burn. Very impressive how game he was considering the fractions he set.

Fabulous Strike doesn't have anything close to the kind of raw speed Sea of Pleasure has.

Sea of Pleasure broke his maiden with a track record time of 20 3/5ths in one of those 2yo MSW race at SA last year - he got his second quarter in 9 and change....and was ahead by a pole on the gallop out.

It's one thing to run 20 3/5ths on natural dirt - but to do it in a racing situation without the aid of a big run-up is pretty impressive.

I was impressed the way Sea of leasure was able to hang on for 2nd after setting those fractions. Lets hope the trainer doesn't decide to stretch him out. Just leave him at 6f and let him outrun everyone.
