Yes,it's the guy who does the hit song.I think it will eventually be a hit song,but it needs a lot of production stuff.There is a dead hole in the song from 2:50-3:10...It will need to be filled with instrumental,or a vocal bridge.I told him to just end it at 3:10,but it was impossible to get him to do it(or to give me a vocal piece to bridge it.He n' his girlfriend teamed up against me on that.So,therefore ,he sits there for 20 seconds,and then starts the last chorus.My guess is he knows it's a mistake,but won't admit it.........Do I think he is good? He has never had a music class.Obviously he can mimic better than a parrot.His voice has been changing for the last 6 months.That's why you'll see such a difference between his voice in "With You" versus "NO ONE." The biggest problem he has is range.It's really not a problem,because his natural voice tone is better than 90% of pro singers.So ,really he should sing easy songs.It's all he has to do,but he wants to sing all these rangey rnb songs,and that (at times)results in him having the voice problems you can see in some of the songs.The cracking,the vibrato etc...He says is due to his voice going thru a 2nd change.That may be part of it,but I think he sings hi notes that he shouldn't be trying to sing until his voice stablilizes.When people sing all their notes with the same (or very close to it) part of their vocal chords,then they force something fat to be something thin.To make hi notes,he uses the middle of his chord instead of the thinner hi part of his chord.This is a common thing to do,and this is why Kelly Clarkson couldn't sing the night she won American Idol.She learned to do something else(called mixing I think.) Anyways,yea,he is very good.You're seeing somebody sing under circumstances that very few people could control their voice enough to be singing at all.He has natural presence in front of a camera.Honestly,he is a freak in regards to that.You're just not gunna find many people better in front of a camera.He is a natural actor,bullshitter,whatever you want to call it.The way you can easily measure that is no matter how poorly he sings,he rarely gets bad comments.Also,you're the 1st to ask about the "hit song" notation.That says a lot about the performer in question.How many arguments do we get into on here? A lot.You would think the 1st thing people would do is say this guy isn't any good.You're the 1st to even bring it up.That's not about me.That's about the confidence he puts out.He has the ability to get people to like or respect him.The ones that don't evidently don't want to attack him.A lot of it has to do with the music being out of people's comfort zone.This is not the target audience for him.I recognize this is not the style of music enjoyed by the majority on here.To me ,his biggest weakness is a limited audience to draw from.I don't worry about any of the stuff other than that.I know how good he is with whatever voice he has to work with.I do worry about the audience that will accept him though.With his looks,and singing the style he likes,we are limited (especially in this country.)Gunna be 80% Female and young.So,that's the problem.It's a real big problem.Europe will be better for him to break in.Every singer wants to get signed now.He is no different,but I think he is 2 years away from being ready to handle it.He is in Turkey.He has never traveled much.I don't know if he has ever visited any countries other than Germany or Turkey.He is not gunna get signed unless he moves here or Europe(and performs for industry people.)People get signed while on youtube,but they perform for industry people.I think he'll get signed quickly after performing for industry types.The problem is getting him out of Turkey.That's the biggest problem.His issues aren't talent related.There are far less talented people making livings as singers.He argues with people.He has problems,but I don't have any doubts about his ability as a singer.Leaving his mom alone for 1 frikn' night..That's a problem....I guess one parent single child situations get a lil weird.This is the problem....2 YEARS(needs it.) Feel free to give me a negative quote.He'll work harder when I give it to him.I am gunna take the "hit song" notation down.I wanted to see how long before somebody questioned it.A lot of singers would have had it questioned in 2 days.This guy? What 6 weeks? |
