I'm about 20mins from Gulfstream right now and we had another heavy shower about an hour ago.

Much as I wish they would race on the grass tomorrow there is next to no chance they will even if they get no more rain ( which sounds questionable ). They go to unreasonable lengths to protect the turf course. Don't you remember last year when it sprinkled and they came off the turf on the day of the huge carryover?

Brilliant of them to card five turf races in the first place. If one or two stay on it will be a minor miracle. And, boy, do I hope I'm wrong.

But it's a long meet....we'll get our chances.

I'm with you; though the turf races are not easy tomorrow.

Also, should they come off, TAM has a couple of interesting races on the turf.

9:00... Mostly sunny, 70 deg, 10 mph wind. Very little rain overnight. Should be on/fast unless they got a big shower there.

Someone should let new Racing Director Bernie Hettel and Racing Secretary Bill Couch know... Do they think $10k CLMers on the lawn, as carded Wed-Thurs, is the best use of the turf course...

Happy to wrong about this one. Track is listed as good and turf yielding so it looks like they're on. Not a ton of scratches.

Couch first labeled the races 1,3,5,7,9... before he realized that River and Beuhlah are closed and they don't alternate every race
