Reason Rich Rod left WVU
 

RRod asked for a few little extras which had nothing to do with his compensation and the President refused. Great front page article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette with the details. The heavy boosters offered to fund all of RRod improvements and the administration refused. Now the big boosters are pulling the money they promised to the school last year to keep RRod from going to Bama. Can't figure out how to post the link:

It's funny that one item the old coach asked WVU was for the football team players to be able to retain their text books which they receive FREE as part of their athletic scholarship and be able to sell them!

That's a MAJOR NCAA infraction, one which has brought down other schools.
