ND will make it to a bowl game next year, maybe not one of the best ones but they will make one and win it snapping the terrible bowl game streak. The recruits just keep coming in, and the freshman will have matured a lot.

GO IRISH!!!

funny thing tho.
every school gets recruits, and every freshman matures a bit. certainly not an exclusive happening for a school who needs to apologize to real irishmen and women everywhere.

Obviously everyone gets recruits, I'm talking about the caliber of recruits. Go check all the websites you rely on for your information, they will tell you who has the best recruiting class.

good point.

because their recruiting classes have been rated so poorly the last 2 years.

or is it 3?

this will make all the difference.

You are right. They should escape without a loss on Oct 18, but only if they are lucky...

That Oct 18th date is going to be a tough one for the Irish. But seriously, what a weak schedule. Michigan on a possible down year, Stanford, North Carolina etc etc. Only hard game is USC.

Danzig 12-04-2007 06:34 AM

maybe they can start having a 'best recruiting class' bowl.

declansharbor 12-04-2007 09:34 AM

My prediction is that Notre Dame will forever stink like Rodney Rogers' triple overtime armpits. I also predict that any Bowl game that they sneak their way into in the future, it will be because of their name and fanbase. (Sheep being led to slaughter.) My last prediction is that Charlie Weis will either lose weight or lose his job. The latter of which sounds more believable.

You guys had a top recruiting class this year too. Didn't do you any favors...

Until they 'WISE' up and get rid of Charlie Weis, I don't see very many positive things happening for the Irish.

SniperSB23 12-04-2007 12:17 PM

They don't want to have playoffs to protect that collection of garbage games? There are about four that interest me.

whodey17 12-04-2007 12:20 PM

I wish they had the old bowl system. I loved getting up at 10 am and watching football until midnight. Having two or three t.v's in one room and keeping and eye on all of them. Now it just sucks. Match-ups that people do not want. VaTech v Kansas--who cares about that one other than people who went to VaTech and Kansas.

mizzu got screwed!! how do you play for your conference championship and not get a bcs bid? this system is such a joke.

I totally agree here, but until a better option is brought to the table, we are sadly forced to swallow it. Too many colleges and universities would lose alot of money if these D rated bowl games were taken from them.

I propose a 16 team playoff and some lesser bowl games to those who believe they were stiffed. This way, the average bowl game teams can still make that extra dough and we can all see the great matchups that unfold in teh playoff system. How this would work out is beyond me, but I think we all can agree that changes are needed.
