I really didn't see this coming. Not sure what to make of it, either. Times have been...well...interesting for Youbet. This will make them even more interesting...

The stock price slipping well under a dollar had to increase the pressue on him. Champion is walking away though with a million dollar plus settlement to assist him in "pursuing other opportunities"

One of the critcisms of Champion was that he was never any good at public relations and communicating with the media and financial press. I remember him not being available several times on At The Races when Steve had him scheduled

It will indeed be interesting to see what the future beings for Youbet

yeah i work in the markets and i have noticed a steady decline in UBET for the last 3 months or so. I use youbet.com and like it very much as compared to twinspires.com, but i think this company is gonna boom or bust in the next6-12 months. They are basically at rock bottom right now and this is the racings down season. Also note that Magna isn't doing that well with, its right around the $ 1.50 price per share. CHDN, churhill downs has been one of the solid racing stocks over the last 3-6 months @ around $50 per share

as you can tell, i cruise the newswire for these 3 stocks all day to see whats what in the racing industry
