Did he forget how they squeaked by Alabama? Unfortunately the BCS system is crap and their needs to be some sort of playoff system, because there is obviously no way of determining who is the best team with the BCS. LSU got a ton of respect (more so than any big 10 team will ever get) since ESPN and the media loves the SEC. Unfortunately nobody in the SEC knows how to play defense.

Illinois only needs 1 of 3 teams to lose in order for them to get a BCS bowl game

bad year for defense in the SEC. usually the defense in the country reside in the SEC.

lsu was #2 in overall defense before fridays debacle. it dropped them to #6 overall in the country. they're #3 vs the pass. auburn also his pretty high up on the list.
osu was #1 leading into last wknd overall. of course they're done til their bowl game, so i don't see that changing.
