Does anyone have more up-to-date information on Perrodin?

I have been watching (and betting on) Elvis Joseph Perrodin since 1974. EJ on the sod or in the mud has made several nice outings at LaD. He is always very fan friendly, signing autographs at LaD, and waving to folks during post parade. Hope he is doing better today.

Lets hope one day we will see him back in the saddle again. Always had good success with him when he rode for his brother in-law Pat Mouton.

It's very, very bad. He is still in intensive care, they are trying to stop the internal bleeding. Corey Lanerie told me Saturday that his pelvis is broken in 2 or 3 places, as well as the fractured ribs already mentioned. I also "heard" that the spleen is involved as well but have no conformation on that.
I haven't found any further updates today and of course the track is dark.

Elvis is a really good jock in our local colony, hate to use the word great, but to me he is a great local veteran rider. He has many fans. You can never count EJ out especially when teamed with Pat Mouton.

Very tragic that this has happened. Obviously he is out for the season and he will be sorely missed at The Fairgrounds.

Best wishes to the "Sod God."

Just spoke to Patrick Mouton... Perrodin improved as of this a.m.; listed as 'stable'...

Doctors have slowed the bleeding from his liver and are waiting for the bleeding to end before operating on his shattered pelvis. He is alert but in a great deal of pain and is being kept sedated.

Mouton said to thank everyone who has been so concerned and so nice with their inquiries.

Thanks for the update Steve.
At least it's a bit better news than the other day. You could tell at The Fair Grounds that the officials were still gravely concerned on Saturday.
Here's to wishing Elvis a successful recovery, and as I said he will be sorely missed this season.

Elvis is the king

especially on the grass. I wish him well.

Steve, if you get a chance ask Paul Mouton if there is anything we can do.
