Zenyatta

Race 6 -Hwd today.....Never gets old watching somebody that talented.

ArlJim78 11-22-2007 03:46 PM

she was poetry in motion. I don't understand why she wasn't pounded at the windows based on inside information.

TitanSooner 11-22-2007 10:03 PM

see the size of that filly? wow

theiman 11-22-2007 11:37 PM

The clockers reports that I read, said he had absolutly no speed out of the gate. First time maidens in So Cal dont get pounded with that type of comment, IMO.

And yes, she seemed to be very big in size.

saucon17 11-22-2007 11:48 PM

She had an awesome turn of foot in the stretch

Nice...half sister to Balance.

SCUDSBROTHER 11-23-2007 11:32 PM

"We all love her so much."-Jerry Moss (owner talking about her before the race.)

My only excuse is I wasn't betting this day. When you do that, you don't pay attention to odds much.Ya hear comments like this, but ya figure their interviewing chalk. They weren't.That's a smooth monster stride. The biggest negative is she is related to the inconsistent "BALANCE." That's the last thing you want to be related to(a picky thing like that.)

She is really bred well to run on the cushion track. She looks a little like a turf horse to me, but I wouldn't be shocked if she could handle dirt also.

Zenyatta just made her second start and won in a hand ride in the fifth at Hollywood, tying the track record. 1:40.97 change.

And Flores never touched her.

That was the impressive part, the way in which she picked them off, racing wide pretty much the whole way around. Not to mention being left at the gate. VJS said it best. "If Zenyatta wins, she's half an hour the best"

One to make some real noise next year or product of the cushion?

Looks to me that Shirreffs has a real runner here.

AeWingnut 12-15-2007 05:29 PM

I took one look at her and thought WOW!.

Don't know where she was going at the 1/16th pole. See something in the stand she wanted? not too bad really. Hope she keeps going. Beautiful horse.

TheSpyder 12-15-2007 05:33 PM

and it's nice to read a form line like she had and will have for this race...a serious horse indeed!

Spyder

For what it's worth, Country Star just ran 2/5th's faster than Zenyatta.

Riot 12-15-2007 07:38 PM

Wow - left at the gate, last to first around the outside, hand-ridden. Awfully pretty to watch! Good for Jerry Moss, how excited they must be!

You will have to let them know she is a 2yo and ran 2 lenghts faster than Zenyatta.

Riot 12-16-2007 01:03 AM

Country Star did it awfully impressively, too. Love those good fillies!
