What a ride!

Was watching this race in the bookies earlier today, and this is one of the best 'never say die' rides i have ever seen. Especially on a horse that went off at 66/1.

Ouninpohja is one of the biggest pigs in UK racing, and he didn't seem to like jumping early on, either!

Here is the replay (you have to wait about 5 seconds playing time for pictures to appear)

If that had been one of the bigger jockeys (McCoy, Walsh, Murphy etc) they would have just given up with the horse.

Roddi Greene "retired" a couple of years ago, but he just couldn't do it. He's one of the older jockeys in the weighing room and yet he is still as hungry as ever for winners.

You haven't been watching too hard then. He has always given 110% on all of his rides. He just doesn't get to ride the horses that he used to.

He isn't stylish, but boy is he strong in a finish.

Put him on the good horses and he could be as good as anyone in my opinion. He NEVER gives up.

three winners in the last two days for him.

Having said that, i have seen him try TOO hard in the past by trying to find a big jump at the last and then deck a few. But i've also seen McCoy do that on a few occasions.
