Yet Another Who, Apparently, Had Done Enough

Racing's greatest friend, Sheik Mo, has graciously retired Octave.

Yeah, no reason to race her in 2008.

whodey17 11-12-2007 01:29 PM

I wonder when Sheik Mo is going to retire. Octave did have a nice career. 2 Grade I wins isnt so bad.

cakes44 11-12-2007 01:40 PM

Yep, too bad she couldn't "hang" around for another year.

freddymo 11-12-2007 01:43 PM

Shiek Mo is in the breeding business now. Soon their won't be any graded winners racing. He is going to buy them all so Coolmoore can't get to them.

TheSpyder 11-12-2007 02:01 PM

I wish someone would buy me and retire me. I'd take half of that $4 mil. and would breed to any woman, any day, anytime.

Good to know you have standards Spyder.

All this time I though BTW and myself were the only gigilos on this board.

TheSpyder 11-12-2007 03:05 PM

Damn, competition...now our stud fee will go down....

OK, so what is your black type?

Mine:

24 years sucessfully married to a red head - I could take on any woman

Ran a marathon...right foot beat left foot by 1/2 length

My dong measures....oh forget it.....still as Southside Johnny said "it ain't the meat but the motion that makes my baby want to rock"

My black type??

a 3 year marraige...which is the equivilant to a state bred minor stakes placing.

Although...many that have met my ex-wife would argue lasting 3 years with her should earn me multiple Grade 1's

Scav 11-12-2007 03:14 PM

Kev, I think you have met your match for most ridiculous person ever in Internet history in Spyder.

It's nothing in relative terms compared to what Len Riggio spent.

Especially in regards to the stallions to which they will be bred to.

Danzig 11-12-2007 06:53 PM

i thought they planned to put her back in training.

ridiculous.

Merlinsky 11-12-2007 10:18 PM

Wasn't she the one who caused that bidding snafu with Coolmore? They tried to put more down and the guy "didn't see them"...which is weird. I mean surely you're trying to get as much as possible. You're telling me there's not a 'going once, going twice..' where they could've just gone 'oy! tryin' to put in a bid here!' I mean there's a time for subtle strategy but geez.

I wonder what Coolmore would've done with her.
