So who wins the title?

Two days to go.....

Seb is one ahead as i type this. A few more rides for both tonight and then the final meeting at Doncaster tomorrow.

I don't like either jockey, but i'd prefer Spencer to win it.

189-188 currently

Still 189-188 in favour of Seb. One more race tonight (Spencer on the hot favourite) and then onto tomorrows card at Doncaster where it will be decided.

No change after the last race at Wolverhampton.

They go into the final day on 189 (Sanders) - 188 (Spencer)

Finished in a draw. 190-190

It was the right result as neither deserved to lose it.

So they tied and both won?

That's pretty cool.

Kinda like Mullins and O'Neill tying for trainer of the meet and both of them.... oh wait, forgot that if Mullins ties or wins he still doesn't get the title.

Cheers to Jamie (I can't believe i'm saying that) and to Seb (why don't you like him? Am I missing something? Don't really know too much about him.....).

Yes they both win the title.

The reason i don't really like Seb? Well, mainly because he is often too hard on horses that he rides. Last night he rode an odds on favourite, and with a furlong to go it was obvious he couldn't win, but he was still hitting this poor 2yo filly like his life depended on it, and he has been doing that all season.

There is trying hard and trying too hard and usually ruining horses.

Oh okay, I didn't know.

GODOLPHIN ENDS BRITISH SEASON WITH SEVENTH OWNERS' CHAMPIONSHIP:cool:

Godolphin capped an excellent 2007 season by gaining a seventh UK owners' championship at the conclusion of the turf Flat season at Doncaster on Saturday, November 10.


The royal blue silks have been carried to 73 victories in Britain during the campaign and total prize money of £1,688,114 earned.


Godolphin was also champion British owner in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2004 and 2006, and this year's title was marked by some notable achievements from the Saeed bin Suroor-trained string.


The gallant and redoubtable Ramonti was the undisputed star as the horse enjoyed a thrilling five-race partnership with Frankie Dettori that put him in the vanguard of Europe's milers.


Ramonti gave Godolphin a first British Group One success of the year with a pulsating victory in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot in which, having been headed by Jeremy, he drew on reserves to rally and snatch victory in the shadow of the winning post.


Ramonti repelling his rivals with a determined surge for the winning line under a Frankie Dettori drive was one of the abiding images of the summer.


The duo did it again in the BGC Sussex Stakes at Goodwood in August, holding the challenge of Excellent Art by a head, and the tough five-year-old completed a hat-trick of top British Group One mile races with another battling verdict over the same rival in Ascot's Queen Elizabeth II Stakes the following month.


While Ramonti set the standard among the older generation with three wins and two seconds at the highest level, the Godolphin juveniles were not to be outdone as Rio De La Plata and Ibn Khaldun ranked among the best.


Rio De La Plata broke his maiden at the second attempt and then posted an impressive triumph in the Group Two Veuve Clicquot Vintage Stakes at Goodwood in August, drawing clear of Lizard Island for an impressive two-length win.


That victory bolstered Godolphin's British tally and the colt also gained plaudits in France when he scored decisively in the Group One Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp in October.


Ibn Khaldun's victory in the Group One Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster was the culmination of rapid improvement under the guidance of Saeed bin Suroor.


The Dubai Destination colt put behind him a maiden defeat at Yarmouth at the end of August and proceeded to leap from maiden success at Leicester on September 11 to capture an Ascot handicap on September 28 and the Group Three Autumn Stakes at the same venue two weeks later before clinching his authoritative Group One win under Kerrin McEvoy on October 27.


Godolphin horses collected a total of 12 British Group races in 2007, including four successes in the highest grade, and the pick of the remainder was Stage Gift's Group Two triumph in the Skybet York Stakes at York in July.


Blue Ksar opened Godolphin's seasonal account in Britain when successful in the CPJ 21st Anniversary Conditions Stakes at Lingfield on May 12.

Going back to the topic........

The draw was a fair result. They were both trying hard many many months ago and there was never many winners between them.

I hate to think how nervous Spencer was going into the last race one winner behind. After all those months of working hard and travelling thousands of miles, it all boiled down to that one horse.

It really would surprise me if he buys the horse when it retires.
