Help Me - I Can't Place A Wager

Living in SC is very challenging to keep up with the sport I love. Now it appears all my wagering options have shrunk up as depositing money has been an act of congress. Unfortunatly all the "legal" sites are off limits as in SC the law makers just don't allow that evil stuff. Mind you, lottery tickets are everywhere.

Anyway, any suggestions for off shor wagering sites where you can deposit easliy???

HELP,

Spyder

bodog does ACH transfers but they take 3 weeks to clear and you cant withdraw until it clears.

sbgglobal.com accepts moneygram

those two are legitimate

Use a relative in another state.

Bigsmc 11-07-2007 03:29 PM

Bigsmc.com - Cash only for deposits.

Just signed up on bigsmc.com and hit a $25,000 tri. Thanks Bigs!

Seriously, was able to sign up on Bodog and use a credit card right away. Keep the others in mind.

Thanks,

Spyder

Syder: just remeber that Bodog DOES have limits on their Payouts!! Read the fine print...especially on exotics wagering! GRL

Use someone else's address. Hell, use mine, I don't care.

Am I imagining things or did they have slot machines in gas stations and whatnot back like 10 years ago in SC?

I feel your pain. What is worse is that I was able to play online, and then one day in September....poof....I couldn't.

Arizona sucks...

Your memory is correct.

Video poker and blackjack and other "machine gaming" existed for with a wink and a nod in South Carolina into the early 1990's for "recreational play" only. Most places actually paid on the "entertainment credits."

But from the early 1990's until about the turn of the century, all video poker was totally legal. Those were some wild times. It's a true story, but there was no state law mandating or regulating payouts. In Nevada and New Jersey for example, I think gambling machine state law mandates a house payout of 17%, or something like that.

But in South Carolina in those years it was totally legal to own a gambling machine and let people play with NO PAYOUT at all. Suffice to say much $$ was taken from unsuspecting people and less than informed gamblers.

The law changed again to outlaw back around 1999 or 2000.

Now the "wink and a nod" thing is back in parts of the state. But, not legal.

Correct westcoast and what was kinda funny was it was all located and all happened right in the bak drop of PTL - Jim and Tammy Baker. It was like the area was a battle of good and evil.

It was called little Vegas and as you point out suckers from all over would flock in and loose big money.

Three miles from my house.

Thanks for the info on gaming. I will keep all in mind. I do have an "illegal" account put it just so hard to fund.

SBGglobal has done some outrageous account stiffing. See this page at SportsbookReview.com:
http://www.sportsbookreview.com/SR.aspx?s=sbg

It's always a good idea to check Sportsbookreview before sending any book money.

btw, most of the better books will take MoneyGram. I would have recommended Bookmaker.com (formerly CRIS), because they are extremely highly regarded and they pay an 8% rebate on exotics and a 3% rebate on WPS. Another good choice is 5Dimes, because of the 10% bonus they pay on win bets and exotics.

The absolute best book is diamond sports book.

www.2betdsi.com

They are also a member of the cris, but they allow you to deposit using a credit card. You get the same percentage back as bookmaker, but its much easier to deposit. Also, if you play sports, their loyalty program is not half bad.

Diamond is definitely a top-notch book--they have an A+ rating at SportsbookReview.com.

Bookmaker's site says they, too, take credit card deposits. One drawback of Diamond is the $60 fee they charge for a withdrawal-by-check ($4900 max). Bookmaker gives you one free withdrawal/30 days ($2500 max). Bookmaker also has a $60 FedEx option, with no max attached.

Glad you mentioned the "loyalty program" at CRIS/Bookmaker/Diamond. It's a nice perk. If you optimize it, you get a 1.5% rebate on your sports bets in the form of "free play". And if you choose longish odds bets for your free play, you are getting better than 1% back in equivalent cash. That means a -110 line at Bookmaker or Diamond is a little better than a -108 line elsewhere.

Good stuff. Did not realize the choices out there. Been stuck on E Horse for years and nice to see choices, especially good ones.
