How Long Will it Take to Rebuild Longchamp

I believe that work will start after the last days racing at the end of the month for a major rebuild to Longchamp.

I have no idea how long the works will take but I can't see it being ready for April so I guess all the Spring G1s will be relocated to Saint Cloud, Chantilly.

Hopefully the new Longchamp will be ready in time for the Prix Moulin the 1st Group 1 of the Autumn in early September 2008. If the track isn't ready by Arc weekend-i guess they will either do a Churchill and run on a building site or shock horror move the race to England-as there's no track in France that can cope with the numbers.

I think i have faith in them not to destroy Longchamp's charm and character. They did a very sensitive job modernising Chantilly last year not like the unforgiveable rebuild of Ascot.
