Can Moss Vale win? The swansong...

No idea who else is pointed to the Prix de l'Abbaye but gotta wish this one all the best in his final race.

He was once described (by No Chance) as the horse who is sick of seeing Benbaun's ass and that sums it up.

An honest and consistent boy...... be nice if he could win one this year.

Cheers to the ones that just miss it and the ones who get their long-deserved wins. :)

NoChanceToDance 09-23-2007 03:52 AM

Not had chance to see how good the race is. Manic here........ got to go and kick some Godolphin ass today!!!!!!!!!! We need to win today to maintain our unbeaten brecord this season on a Sunday!

Hope he wins for connections, but more importantly, i hope he wins for you, MMSC :)

Someone explain to me the best way to get someone out who scored 99no yesterday and looked in fine form

Let us know who won...

NoChanceToDance 09-23-2007 02:39 PM

We lost and they injured me in the process, so in other words they took out our best bowler :p

How did Moss Vale get on, i've only just got back from hospital

my miss storm cat 09-23-2007 03:10 PM

Geez, maybe the boys in royal blue hit you on the head or something..... the race is in about 2 weeks. :D

My fault for not making that clear!

Good luck, good boy.

Nicholls hopes to run three in Prix de l'Abbaye

by Thomas Deane

NORTH Yorkshire handlerDavid Nicholls hopes to be three-handed in the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp on Sunday.

Often associated with winning big sprint races, Nicholls is likely to saddle Strike Up The Band, Peace Offering and Moss Vale in the Group 1 dash he landed with Continent in 2002.

The first two are also entered in the Abergwaun Stakes at Tipperary on the same afternoon, but the prospect of quickish ground in Ireland means a trip to Paris is currently the favoured option.

"We've got entries at Tipperary and then we've got some in the Abbaye on Sunday as well as a race at Chantilly on Monday," Nicholls said.

"The ground at the moment in Tipperary is good to firm, so that would curtail going there, and we'll head with Moss Vale, Strike Up The Band and Peace Offering to the Abbaye - providing they all get in.

"The ground over there is soft, so they'll appreciate that," he told At The Races.

"It'll be a busy weekend and we'll probably be in France again on Monday."

my miss storm cat 10-05-2007 10:59 AM

Uh oh.

It was a nice thought anyway.

Okay if someone holds up a sign saying "The Curragh" Bennie will win.:D

On the other hand, the last three times Moss did manage to win he had Fallon up.

Tiza and Desert Lord, Dandy Man, crap this is a really nice field.

I'd use New Girlfriend somewhere at those insane odds.

Safe trip home, everyone. I'll be happy if he finishes well.

If the ground isn't too soft, i can't see why anything can beat Kingsgate Native. He has beaten some of these before, and get atleast a stone of weight from all of his rivals.

Really???

I think this crowd is waaaaay too much for him.

Could be the usual.... Ben wins with Mossie right behind, huh?

Where do you think Red Clubs would finish if he was running in this?

Ummm, Clubsy could win the Japan Cup, the Japan Dirt Cup, any BC race AND this blindfolded and backwards.

Does that answer your question? :p

He's in Evie's last race and I'm telling you not this time but next? Jeremy is sitting on a BIG win.

Well, in that case...... why don't you see Kingsgate Native winning?? You are forgetting about a small race called The Nunthorpe where Kingsgate Native won, and Red Clubs was only about fourth.

Well, i'm afraid Clubsy was there. He did win next time though, and makes the form look even more solid than it already was.

I won't be playing in this race, but i do think Kingsgate Native will be hard to beat.

Talking about Clubsy, he runs in the Prix De La Foret tomorrow, it is a VERY good race though.

Ummm yeah that's kinda why i posted it above. :D

Glad it has it's own thread. A great field.

NoChanceToDance 10-05-2007 02:52 PM

Can't see him winning tomorrow, sorry.

On a positive though, Caradack should win standing on his head tomorrow at Redcar. If he doesn't there will be a problem.

Clubs or Moss?

I don't think either wins but that's okay.

Moss is in deep and Clubsy doesn't care for Longchamp anyway.

Caradak and Echo will make the boys in blue proud.

NoChanceToDance 10-07-2007 07:35 AM

Benbaun won. Kingsgate Native was cost victory by a slow start from the gate. He ran a stormer to finish second after having so much ground to make up.

Well done to Benbaun...... He can win away from The Curragh afterall!
