Super Derby, Sept. 22
 

Anyone here planning to attend Super Derby @ LaD on Sept. 22?

Grasshopper who ran 2nd to Street Sense in Travers is very likely for this race. Tiago is rumored, too.

Big catch would be Street Sense or Rags to Riches. Both Nafzger and Pletcher have connections to LaD from earlier in their respective careers.

Undercard has four turf races -- one which will feature Costa Rising who has thundered to two consectutive monster Beyer Speed Ratings at EvD. He loves this track, too, and is 2 for 2 on its turf course.

We have tentative plans to go. We don't live but 70 miles from LaD and I really don't want to miss the opportunity to see some of the horses that might be there. We went last year and had a great time.

I am going to the Super Derby. Would love to meet some DTers if possible.

Arriving Friday Sept 21
 

Slight delay in my plans -- I hope to make some of Friday afternoon card. Saturday's card featuring Super Derby looks very good. I could do without 13 races -- however, stakes actions should prove quite interesting.

Send me PM and maybe some of us can meet & greet on Saturday at LaD. I may hang Fri and/or Sat night at Boomtown Casino Cantina -- nice friendly bar and band this weekend, 8 Track, is excellent act.
