Mountaineer Monday

I'll correctly look at Monday's Mountaineer card, rather than what I did boozing last night. I 'capped the just completed Saturday night card.

'Capping quite brilliantly ,too, by looking at my notes. Of the three bets to make, AK's Quest paid $25.60; Dacing with Johnny came in second; and I scratched out winner Aaro's Tug in the 3rd( the only alteration on an otherwise clean notepad), foolishly opting for Sky Brio

Anyone want to challenge me on Mountaineer Monday's card?

Watch it GPK:mad:

If I can just figure out what night of the week it is, I'm sure I'll blow you away. Wouldn't mean much anyways, my beating you on a one night card. Hell, you're new here, and all, and don't understand the complexities of handicapping a wide range of race conditions

No rain to worry about for Monday night at Mountaineer

I'll post my thoughts for each race, but usually only find one wager or two on most cards at these non-Grade A tracks

Mike 08-26-2007 01:01 PM

1st race is a maiden special weight on grass.

Do you want to concede yet?:p

I am, thanks for noticing. I appreciate the warm welcome.

UNCLE.....

Sarcasm such as mine doesn't convey well online in these forums. I believe you are the one here who has been regularly doing Mountaineer analysis, and I believe you are one of the more serious people on here

I 'll not butt in and let you post the Mountaineer cards as you have been. Just saying it's one of my favorite (as in profitable) tracks for what reason I know not.

Very serious. The internet is life and death for me.

Reading that & looking at your avatar gave me a chuckle...thanks man.

Mike 08-26-2007 01:11 PM

Okay, now you're being a smartass, which is what I was supposed to be doing. I'll taunt you to the ends of the earth:rolleyes:

See ya later, gotta stop this nonsense until I post my picks

Gonna post the new track announcement of Presque Isle if nobody has done so

No worries Brad. Hope you are well my friend.

Kev -

This really is some good stuff ;) but you probably should be honest with Mike and tell him that, as much as you would like the title, Byebyemermaid is THE MAN at "Da Mountain" here on DT... but you are, without a doubt, the Court Jester of Da Mountain - and that is a title that fits you well :D

Oh yeah, also, Mr. Longshot at Da Mountain -- how do you do it?

p.s. Hope all is well with you Kev, I understand all areas of your life (i.e.: love) are going good - all I can say is, it's about time

My picks are made:

2nd: Box #4 De Brandon Boy with #3 Al Faasil

5th: #2 Proudest Nina

7th:#5 Foot Trick

9th: straight exacta of #4 the Stalker over #10 Epic Account

Mike 08-27-2007 05:59 PM

I imagine y'all are sitting frozen in your seats after seeing my Del Mar display today. Come on, jump on the wagon!

Mike 08-27-2007 06:11 PM

I needed 2-1 on thor's Daughter in that 1st race, she won easily at even money

Considering I'm doing an exacta box in the 2nd of a fave and a longshot, will be interesting to see how the Double pays off

Mike 08-27-2007 06:15 PM

De Brandon Boy scratched forcing me to bet the Al Queda horse

No, but I will take up the challenge offer for another ridiculous track.

I will challenge you at Hawthorne on some random weekday in the dead of winter. :D

Mike 08-28-2007 02:19 PM

I bombed yesterday at Mountaineer. Bombed!

Hawthorne in the dead of winter sounds nice
