Turf Play O' the Day 8/11

If you were expecting something from Million Day or even the Sword Dancer, you won't find it here. However, I have one I've been waiting for to come back and returns in the perfect spot: Saratoga Race 7 #7 Uncle Indy, who is an extremely generous 4-1 on the ML. He exits what appears to be a dull effort on dirt at 4/5 and trying turf for the first time, but in truth that race was very bizzarely run with so much contact early and Gomez doing his best Olympic gymnast impression on another contender. He is out of a mare who won multiple graded stakes on turf including THE F&M turf race in NY (the Flower Bowl) and should get a nice stalking trip. Anything resembling the ML would be a gift.

You may be getting that M/L gift. This is a salty looking MSW. Grand Strike will move forward off his first effort, Equitable will be the deserving fav., Wild Wizard should be just fine with the stretchout, Baletti may step up third off and Open Sleigh's two turf tries were good (the last being against older).

Good luck with it, but I am going fairly deep here.

Not far enough, had 2nd (14-1) and 3rd (9-1) in my P4.

Hooves was all over the winner though.
