Just makes Vlad look like that more of a monster. I love that he wears nothing, not even batting gloves.

Agreed, his numbers would be insane.

Tons of pitchers argue that all this padding is taking away the inside part of the plate for them. In addition, batters now turn into the pitch to get hit (look at Biggio). If the picther throws at the head they get thrown out so what are they suppose to do. I say ban all protective equipment and get out of the way. Pete Rose, Ty Cobb, Tony Gwynn, Babe Ruth and Ted Williams didn't need protection so why do players today.

I don't mind a guy wearing the shin guards. I could even see the use of an elbow wrap similar to batting gloves, but these hockey like elbow pads, and alleged mechanical devices should be banned.

He doesn't wear the elbow guard in home run derby so he doesnt do as well? Where did they dig this guy up? What's next? He sees better because his eyes grew with his head?
