Well, there isn't exactly what you would call a lot of speed in this race, so your boy might have a shot at stealing this one on the front end.

I wonder if any of the local riders will get the mount on the 2 or 4.So far only 1 local rider has a mount.

Yeah, but there is something about this race I like. I think it is a pretty nice field for a G3 event.
Personally I am going to be cheering for the 2, even though he probably has no chance. I love his pedigree (no Native Dancer!!) and that absolutely ridiculous name makes for a great combination.

Dr. Googles Boogles is also cross entered in the 7th at Saratoga tomorrow.

Is this Song of Navarone's first race back since his win in the WinStar Derby?

Cajungator26 08-03-2007 05:44 PM

This is actually a pretty decent field IMO... a few horses I really like are running.

Yes, according to someone on the Thorograph site, he injured his hoof in that race, while running a HUGE fig (fastest of any in the race, save Delightful Kiss).

Thanks for the info. I thought that Forty Grams would put that field away, but Song of Navarone ran a really nice race. Wonder how he's looked training...

Rex Stokes III is on Dr. Boogles Googles, he is a local jock. Carmouche is coming in from Monmouth to ride Norjac.

I'm betting Moyer's Pond.If memory serves me correct didn't Guidry win it last year.

Right there with ya.

FGFan 08-04-2007 03:27 PM

I think this will be a nice race. But for better or worse, I'm sticking with Delightful Kiss.
On an aside though I did use a few combintions, I like quite a few, but I've got to stick with the Kiss.

hockey2315 08-04-2007 04:14 PM

Well Song of Navarone scratched and D Kiss is 2-1. . . A potentially good betting race isn't anymore. . .

GPK 08-04-2007 04:36 PM

I think Bwana Bull can make some noise at a nice price here.
