I'm glad to see Hard Spun in the race. Is there a lot of speed or is he the only speed in the race?

sumitas 08-02-2007 10:29 PM

From the hip; Curlin/Hard Spun, Stormello.

Lava 08-02-2007 10:40 PM

Cable Boy is very fast

SuffolkGirl 08-03-2007 09:27 AM

First inclination:
Curlin/Hard Spun/AGS/Wild and Crazy - not sold on the order but that might be my top 4

jms62 08-03-2007 10:17 AM

Haven't crunched the numbers yet but I think AGS having not run in the Belmont and then running a real nice prep may be the most ready to fire.. I'm racking my brain to try and remember the last Belmont ITM horse to accomplish anything of note afterwards... But maybe that is just my diminishing braincells.

Bluegrass Cat won the Haskell after being second in the Belmont.

Told ya my braincells are failing me... Now how about the last Belmont Winner that accomplished anything of signifigance after winning the Belmont.

I am kinda liking a Curlin/AGS box. Chalky? Yes, I admit it.

buddalay 08-03-2007 01:18 PM

I see no one has mentioned Cable Boy. Overrated? Or just out of his league right now?

I don't like that work he had not too long ago, but not sure if that's normal for him? It looked like he ran his race during that work.

I like Hard Spun in the Haskell, although I've heard that Any Given Saturday is training lights out.

whodey17 08-03-2007 08:24 PM

This is a nice field, a real nice field. Curlin should have his hands full and I look for him to finish 3rd or worse in this race.

SilverRP 08-03-2007 10:58 PM

anyone have the PP's?

Coach Pants 08-03-2007 11:02 PM

The horse who breaks first wins.

I don't play Monmouth for that reason...but if I had to choose...Stormello.

letswastemoney 08-03-2007 11:09 PM

You can make an argument for nearly all these horses. It's a toss up.
