nobiz like SLowbiz going monday on turf!!
 

Everyones former favorite horse from this 3yo crop, slobiz, is trying turf monday in a gr 2 at saratoga.

will he be able to duplicate his slo-ness on turf, that is what i want to know!

He's a good horse and if he develops I think he's be a great one.

i liked this horse. hopefully as he matures, he won't be such a headcase.

He is not that fast of a horse. Doesn't look like he ever will be. He belongs in races like the West Virginia Derby with the horses the DRF calls the "B team".

Hes an Albert the Great, everyone can relax on him being a good horse.

He was a standout (visually) on the OK Track when Sumwon jogged......

on the board in 6 graded stakes including 2 grade 1s, 3 grade 2s and 1 grade 3 with wins in a grade1, grade2, and grade3. I'll go ahead and call him a good horse even if he is slow and an Albert the Great. 7 of his 8 lifetime races have been in graded stakes. I'm an easy grader I guess. But he is without question a good horse.

Albert The Great would be proud.
 

NoBiz wins a GR2 in his first ever turf start despite racing 2-3 wide on both turns.

Nobiz ran a great race..and he is without a doubt a good horse, but if Marcavelly had a clean trip, he would have won by at least 2. He had to check real bad, then came on strong.

Clearly was moving best of them all at the end. Was shut off, checked and re-rallied very well. I love the way he looks.

Not the best ride Prado has ever given.

perhaps the 'slow' part needs to move to another horses name....slow's tizzy perhaps??

if those two raced back against each other, I'd take NoBiz again.
the bad trip of Marcavelly seems over blown to me. saved ground on both turns and was for a moment blocked. NoBiz got kicked out on the first turn and lost significant ground. also for the simple fact that NoBiz is a faster horse than Marcavelly.

Nobiz won...I'm guessing it was another same 98 or 99 beyer though :p

I can't help but notice that you have been repeating this same comment almost every single time the subject of Nobiz has ever been brought up. Why is that?
We all know that Albert the Great has not exactly been knocking them out of the park in the breeding shed, but he was a very good horse on the track (5-time graded stakes winner) who had a very nice 4yo campaign. I don't see why you seem to think that it would be impossible for him to sire a good horse.
Given that Nobiz is a G1 winner that has now shown ability on multiple surfaces. I think you would have to say that he is a good horse. Not great, but certainly good.

Slew's Tizzy displaced. Its pretty hard to run when your air gets shut off.

that's true. but that doesn't explain all his losses. but i'd make more of an argument for his name being slow than nobiz!

Its happened to him the last two races. All his losses?

And I'd argue that the hype NoBiz recieved early in his career is the reason why people pay more attention to his performances than Slew's Tizzy and that is the reason why he is given nicknames.

i remain unimpressed after today's race.

i think my new nickname for him will be nohype like slowhype.
