Tonight could be "it".
Sure, the record will have an asterisk next to it.
I'll be watching, just to see the history of it all.

Should of also said that I hope he does it in front of his hometown fans.

I hope he hits the tie and the winner on the road and a fan throws them back to an outfielder. The opposing team gets it quickly to the ump. And the ump puts it back with his others to be reused. And as Barry crosses the plate the Ump yells batterup.

That would be great. Great for a great player who went too far in his quest.

I hope he does it in L.A.(Tuesday,)and everybody just goes to buy more beer and Dodger Dogs.

There will be no asterisk on it.

Nor will the pipe dream of the ball being thrown back be true. Even if it was at Wrigley Field. Fun to dream, though...
