Mohegan Sun joins CapPlay's NY Bid
I think this could be interesting. . . I live about 15 minutes from Mohegan Sun for most of the year and it's a very well-run, upscale place. It would be interesting to see how they could develop BEL and AQU as long as they stay away from Saratoga! They've got plenty of money behind them so they could probably make a lot of improvements . . .

I've been there for concerts. Where do you go for the simulcasting? If you go in the front door, head left?
|
I can't imagine state lawmakers would hand over control of three NY tracks to a native american tribe.

Sorry, just avoid the finger-snapping. |

Maybe they can claim the property is still owned by the tribes, thus eliminating any taxes.

Mohegan has a beautiful racebook but ive always loved bradley teletheater. When I would fly into Hartford I usually just walk there from the hotel

Youll enjoy Mohegan when you can go, its a lot nicer than Bradley. I just like Bradley because its right where I fly in.

This place is the best. My favorite place play outside of Saratoga and my laptop and own personal "simulcast center."
The place is clean. People are fun. I usually go there 5-10 times a year. Go for all the big race days. Saratoga races I can't get to Union Ave for, TC preps. Great drinks too. Get the milkshake - Jeff Mullins recommends it! Can't say enough good things about the staff there. |
